About Me

I'm Paul, an engineering leader based in Cluj-Napoca, Romania, with more than 15 years in software. I'm currently Chapter Area Manager for Core Technologies at Accesa. I'm accountable for 6 Capability Managers and around 370 engineers across Frontend, Mobile, Java, .NET, Node.js, Data and AI.

I started as a developer and spent most of my career building rich user interfaces, from e-commerce platforms for global retailers to financial and fintech portals. Over time I moved into leading teams. At Ddroidd, I grew a frontend department from 12 to 30 engineers. At Grubhub, I managed a remote team that owned offers and rewards across iOS, Android and Web. As a consultant, I helped a German real estate software scale-up grow its engineering team from 7 to 13.

I've also completed the Google UX Design Certificate because I believe good engineering leadership starts with understanding the people we build for. The case studies on this site come from that work.
